Puffin's SLPA, OTA and Behavioural Interventionist staff all work under the supervision of a therapist listed on BC's Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP). That matters for more than reassurance: BC's autism funding for children under six can only be spent on RASP-listed professionals, and on behaviour interventionists supervised by one. It is the single most useful question to ask any provider before committing funded hours, and it is rarely answered plainly.
Supervisors qualify for the registry by different routes depending on the role — BCBA certification for behaviour intervention, and College of Health and Care Professionals of BC registration for speech-language pathology and occupational therapy. Each service card below names its own.

Our Pediatric Therapy Services
SLPA — Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
What it is
Supports children with speech delays, language development, articulation, and communication skills under the supervision of a registered SLP.
Who it's for
Children showing speech delays, late talkers, children with autism spectrum needs, or those needing extra communication support.
Session Details
$80 per session · 50–60 minutes · Recommended 2× per week
Supervision Note
Supervised by a Speech-Language Pathologist registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).
OTA — Occupational Therapy Assistant
What it is
Supports children with fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living skills, and school readiness under supervision of a registered OT.
Who it's for
Children with sensory sensitivities, fine motor delays, difficulty with self-care tasks, or those preparing for kindergarten.
Session Details
$80 per session · 50–60 minutes · Recommended 1–2× per week

Supervised by an Occupational Therapist registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).
BI — Behavioural Interventionist
What it is
Provides structured behavioural support using evidence-based strategies, typically as part of an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) program.
Who it's for
Children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or behavioural challenges who benefit from structured one-on-one home intervention.
Session Details
$50 per hour · 1–3 hours per session depending on the program · Frequency as prescribed by supervising BCBA
Supervision Note
Supervised by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) — the qualification the RASP requires for this category.

Pediatric home visit therapy brings certified specialists directly into your family's home — the environment where your child feels most at ease, most themselves, and most ready to learn. The research comparing home and clinic delivery is genuinely mixed and depends heavily on the child and the goals, so we won't tell you one works better. What changes at home is practical: you watch the whole session rather than getting a summary at the door, skills are practised in the room where your child actually uses them, and nobody has to manage an unfamiliar building or a waiting room first.
Puffin connects families across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley with certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), and Behavioural Interventionists (BIs) — all working under the direct supervision of registered clinicians. Every session is one-on-one in your home, structured around your child's unique goals and daily rhythms.
Every specialist in our network is background checked through the BC Criminal Record Review Program (Vulnerable Sector), certified in their field, and local to the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. We build consistent, trusting relationships between specialists and families — never rotating strangers.
In-home respite for autistic children
Care for your child so that you get a break — someone competent taking over for a few hours so you can rest, work, or spend unhurried time with a sibling. Not therapy: your child's own routine is followed rather than renegotiated. Staffed by BI-trained specialists and being designed to accept eligible MCFD Autism Funding.

Langley covers both the City and the Township.

No — Puffin Services' upcoming BI, SLPA, and OTA support is being designed to work alongside your child's existing therapist, not replace them. Register your interest to be notified at launch.
BC’s Autism Funding program ends April 1, 2027 and is replaced by the BC Children and Youth Disability Benefit, with an income-tested supplement following in July 2027. The transition application is open until March 31, 2027 and families are advised to apply early. Confirm the details for your own file with the Autism Funding Unit at 1-877-777-3530 — the amounts and dates are provincial policy and can change.
What to expect
At home. Puffin Services has no clinic at all, so there is nowhere to travel to and no centre appointment to schedule around — in-home is the only way the upcoming pediatric support is designed to be delivered. Register your interest to be notified at launch.
Puffin Services will offer all three: SLPA supports speech and language goals, OTA supports occupational therapy goals, and BI (behaviour intervention) supports behavioural and developmental goals — each working under a supervising therapist’s plan.
Respite
$42 per hour. Puffin Services’ respite for autistic children is not bookable online yet — if you need it before online booking opens, email hello@puffinservices.com or call (604) 283-2829 and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange.
Eligibility & getting started
An assessment, yes — a referral, usually not. Puffin’s upcoming SLPA, OTA and behaviour intervention support delivers a plan written by a registered clinician, so there needs to be a plan to deliver. Puffin does not assess and does not diagnose. If your child has not been assessed, that is the first step and it happens through an SLP, OT or behaviour consultant, publicly or privately.
