An evening sitter, a weekday nanny and after-school care are all the same booking, in town or at an agricultural address. Postpartum support covers the first weeks, overnights too; HCA personal care, companion time and respite serve older relatives; and event nannies cover weddings and parties. Babysitting in Pitt Meadows is the same booking as hourly nanny care — three hours minimum, from $32/hr — whether the address is in the town centre or on the agricultural land that makes up most of the municipality. There is no rural surcharge. A sitter can be booked around a Vancouver commute, for the hours at either end of the day that a daycare place does not cover.

Pitt Meadows is covered in its own right, not as an appendage to Maple Ridge — which is worth saying plainly, because smaller municipalities are routinely folded into a neighbour on other providers' coverage maps. Maple Ridge is next door, and that is an advantage rather than a caveat: a Pitt Meadows search can reach caregivers on both sides of the boundary, not only those within the city's own population. Families here often need a candidate who drives, given how spread out the agricultural areas are.

One difference worth being clear about: a placed nanny becomes your family’s employee, not Puffin’s. Puffin runs the search, the vulnerable sector checks and the reference verification, and then steps out of the relationship. That is the opposite of our hourly childcare, where the caregiver stays a Puffin employee and Puffin carries the insurance and payroll — two different products, two different answers to "who is the employer".

Pitt Meadows is priced in its own right and at the same rates as everywhere else. Hourly childcare starts at $32/hr for children 12 months and over, $38/hr where a child under 12 months is present, $36/hr for after-school pickup and care, and $36/hr overnight between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, all with a three-hour minimum. Nanny Placement, coming soon, will be a one-time fee of $500 under three months or $1,000 for three months or longer.
