How It Works
Tell us about your loved one
Who the care is for, what they need and when. Senior caregiver placement is coming soon: we are not taking placements or deposits yet, and we will be in touch as soon as it opens.
We start your search
Our team reviews your request within 1 business day and starts looking for caregivers near you.
We screen and interview
Police vulnerable sector checks, references and interviews, before you meet anyone. Personal care is matched with certified HCAs only.
Meet 2–3 caregivers
We introduce only the caregivers who truly fit your loved one. You make the final choice.
Choose your caregiver
Once you decide, the balance of the placement fee is charged to the card you saved with your deposit. Never before.
Placement Options & Pricing
$200 to start, and the balance when we place your caregiver. The deposit begins the search; you are not asked for the full fee up front.
The $200 deposit is refundable in full if we do not present suitable candidates within 30 days.

Your questions, answered
Senior caregiver placement is coming soon, so this describes how it will work. Puffin Services finds a long-term caregiver for your parent, your spouse or yourself, someone who comes on a regular schedule or lives in. We search, screen and interview candidates, introduce the best two or three, and you choose. The caregiver then works for your family directly. If you need care by the hour instead, you can book companion or Health Care Assistant care on our website.
Senior caregiver placement is coming soon, so this describes how it will work. The placement fee will be $500 for a placement of up to 3 months, or $1,000 for 3 months or more. You pay a $200 deposit to start the search and the balance only when a caregiver is placed, and the deposit is refunded if we do not present suitable candidates within 30 days. The caregiver's wage is separate and agreed between your family and the caregiver.
Senior caregiver placement is coming soon, so this describes how it will work. If your loved one needs hands-on personal care, such as bathing, dressing, toileting or help moving safely, we only put forward certified Health Care Assistants. For companion care, which is company, meals, outings and light help at home, we put forward experienced companion caregivers, and an HCA is welcome too.
Senior caregiver placement is coming soon, so this describes how it will work. Your family does. Once placed, the caregiver is your employee, so you pay their wage and the CPP, EI and vacation pay that go with it. Our optional Payroll and Hours Tracking add-on can take care of that for you. Every caregiver we put forward has a clear police vulnerable sector check and verified references.
Senior caregiver placement is coming soon, so this describes how it will work. Yes. Tell us about your loved one's memory, mobility and routine in the form, choose live-in, and we look for caregivers with dementia experience who are open to living in. A live-in caregiver needs a private room of their own, and their working hours and time off are agreed with your family.
